SUMMARY: Responsible for maintain property, inventory, purchasing, and equipment leases for the Energy Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintains property control system, including tracking, tagging, and taking physical inventories.
Develops purchasing procedures and oversees inventory and purchasing for all Energy Division locations.
Reviews and analyzes material costs, order quantities, and product performance in order to ensure efficiency.
Prepares inventory reports for management, as needed, to communicate expense trends and potential cost savings.
Keeps records of inventory for Edison, PG&E, SoCal Gas, and Southwest Gas programs.
Works with energy supervisors and programs leads to submit orders and pick up supplies from vendors.
Maintains records of vehicles.
Tracks and coordinates all vehicle maintenance, repairs, fuel, and mileage tracking.
Travels to meetings and trainings, as needed.
Follows safety rules.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent. Supervisory experience preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software programs, as required for the position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence at a level appropriate to the position. Ability to speak effectively before customers and/or vendors, employees or organizations. Must be personable and be able to effectively communicate with others from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic Algebra.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation, California driver’s license, and minimum auto insurance as required by law.
