 SUMMARY: Under direction, will be responsible for providing overall services in the areas of employer

recruitment, development of OJT contracts, job search assistance, vocational exploration, counseling,
and the development of participant Individual Employment Plans. Requires driving.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Initiates and maintains personal contact with employers, job services and community agencies
with express interest in the on-the-job training concept and opportunities.
2. Researches new and existing business, analyzing local job market for the purpose of developing
job opportunities.
3. Provides job search assistance to customers in areas such as application and resume writing,
interviewing skills, and job availability through job search classes or customer specific.
4. Conducts all employer 30, 60, and 90 day unsubsidized employment follow-ups.
5. Develops job openings.
6. Provides input into the Individual Employment Plan (IEP) as it applies to job availability and
requirements.
7. Participates in individual case management staffing as needed.
8. Negotiates and develops OJT contracts with employers and develops appropriate OJT training
sites for participants.
9. Provides counseling to clients, such as motivational counseling and counseling with personal and
family problems that interfere with job search activities.
10. Develops Work Experience and Limited Internships training sites.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in related field, OR four (4) years of directly
related experience and/or training; OR a combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software
programs, as required for the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to apply skills
regarding labor market analysis, sales approaches, customer relations and negotiations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation, California driver’s license,
and minimum auto insurance as required by law. Must maintain a good driving record.

 SUMMARY: The Permit Development and Acquisition Technician (PDAT) will be primarily responsible for all phases of permit documentation development and permit acquisitions for all Energy Division project(s).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The PDAT will work collaboratively with process personnel to complete all appropriate documentation for submittal and permit acquisition form the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

Communicate in a professional manner with all AHJ in the process of obtaining and providing project information toward permit acquisition efforts.
Travel to appropriate AHJ and pay for permit via credit card or check as required by the jurisdiction.
Follows all safety regulations.
Ensures quality and compliance of all permit applications.
Follows and implements verbal and written communications with Supervisor(s) or process personnel.
Creates and maintains professional and collaborative relationship with AHJ.
Documents and reports work performed to ensure accurate billing.
Assist in onsite project review with AHJ.
Ensures client satisfaction by exhibiting consideration, courtesy, professionalism and promptness in carrying out all duties of the program.
Communicates with project participants (homeowner) as needed for closeout documentation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees or organizations. Must be personable and be able to effectively communicate with others from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
