ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Answers phones, greets customers and guests, and provides information to potential students and the general public. Makes appropriate referrals for community resources.
- Conducts clerical duties such as making copies, faxing, filing, ordering and distributing supplies.
- Assists with student orientations, enrollment paperwork, and student files.
- Assists with processing school forms and other documents.
- Collects and processes customer payment transactions. Provides customer receipts and submits funds and/or transaction forms to assigned personnel in a timely manner.
- Enters purchase orders in accufund, ensures necessary approvals and submits required documentation to the Finance Department in a timely manner.
- Checks in and out keys to school vehicles.
- Assists with contacting students as needed.
- Reconciles student attendance records with the schools database system.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent, and six months of directly related experience. Must have knowledge of office procedures. Must be self-motivated and able to take direction.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic computer skills required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Spanish required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Must be able to deal with the public in a courteous manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation, California driver’s license, and minimum auto insurance as required by law. Must maintain a good driving record.
