ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Adheres to curriculum and instruction in accordance with the California Model Standards.
- Provides instruction to individuals and/or groups in the required subject(s).
- Maintains files, attendance records, evaluations, referrals, and other assorted documents.
- Prepares and administers examinations and evaluates academic progress.
- Maintains participant files and associated documents to comply with grant requirements.
- Monitors students’ progress in achieving planned goals, objectives and tasks. Provides regular assessments to measure continuing progress.
- Counsels and advises students in resolving problems so that academic goals and objectives are realized, as required.
- Provides one-on-one financial coaching to students based on their individual needs.
- Assists staff in the preparation of correspondence, reports, and individual service strategies, as required.
- Coordinates activities with other staff to meet overall program goals.
- Provides case management and counseling, when needed or required.
- Attends related educational staff meetings.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, and valid California teaching credential or training and experience in the banking industry preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software programs, as required for the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: California teaching credential preferred. Access to transportation, California driver’s license, and minimum auto insurance as required by law.
